**Fresh Threat Looms Over Kwara Communities**
Residents of Ira, Inaja, and Aho communities in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State are on high alert following a chilling warning from suspected bandits. The group, identified as Nigeria Terrorists Association (NTA), has issued a notification of an impending attack on these communities.
Details of the warning were reportedly dropped at Ira market area, sparking widespread panic and tension. The security agencies, however, are not taking this threat lightly, with reports indicating that they are stepping up operational preparedness to prevent the attack.
According to security sources, the suspected bandits claim to have relocated from Kaiama in Kwara North Senatorial District to Oyun Local Government Area in Kwara South, with the intention of carrying out a coordinated attack on the three communities. While the security forces are on high alert, residents are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
Interestingly, this threat comes on the heels of a successful repelled attack on Share, the headquarters of Ifelodun Local Government Area, also in Kwara South Senatorial District. Just last Sunday, security forces successfully thwarted a bandits' attack after a tense one-hour shootout. This incident serves as a reminder of the ongoing battle against insurgency in the state.
While the security agencies, including the Nigerian Army's FORWARD OPERATION BASE in Ilemona, are working tirelessly to prevent the impending attack, residents are urged to remain calm and cooperate with the security personnel patrolling the areas. The authorities are also reassuring the public that they are doing everything possible to maintain peace and stability in the region.
